कहानी का कुछ अंश
Like other novels of Annabhau Sathe, Fakira also focuses on the theme of struggle. In the preface of this novel, Annabhau Sathe writes, “This novel is not made only by my talent, if there is a vision of true life, then the words of talent, emotion, etc. become meaningless.” Way talent needs reality, an ideal image of life. Wings are needed. Fakira in the novel is important in many ways, it is important as a rural Dalit historical novel that brings the rebellious life of the marginalized hero to society.
Just as the rebellion of the fakir inspires social justice and freedom, similarly his life system is going to be a history of change. In Annabhau Sathe’s novel Fakira, we see a different foundation of morality. लेखक जीवन परिचय
अण्णा भाऊ साठे यांचा जन्म 1 ऑगस्ट 1920 रोजी वाटेगावच्या मांगवाड्यात झाला. वाटेगाव हे खेडे सध्याच्या सांगली जिल्ह्याच्या (पूर्वीचा दक्षिण सातारा जिल्हा) वाळवा तालुक्यात, पुणे-बंगलोर महामार्गावरील कासेगावच्या तीन मैल पूर्वेला आहे. त्या काळच्या जातिप्रथेनुसार अण्णा भाऊ हे मांग जातीचे होते. मांग समाज हा महाराष्ट्रातील सर्वात मागास आणि दलित असा समाज म्हणून ओळखला जात असे. जुन्या काळच्या प्रथेनुसार मांगवाडा वाटेगावच्या पूर्वेला दोन फलांग अंतरावर होता, आणि अद्यापही तो तेथेच आहे. त्यामुळे, मांगांच्या झोपड्या या तथाकथित पुढारलेल्या जातीच्या लोकांच्या घरांपासून दूर अंतरावर होत्या. वाटेगावच्या मांगवाड्यात मांगांच्या सुमारे शंभर झोपड्या त्या काळी होत्या व अद्यापही आहेत. याच मांगवाड्यातील एका झोपडीत अण्णा भाऊ साठे यांचा जन्म झाला
