Mumbai is called the Financial Capital of India, where more than 4,50,000 passengers use the Metro service every day. This is the reason, special attention has been given to Metro service to further strengthen the economy of Mumbai.
This type of system was designed to reduce traffic congestion in the city. Expansion of this metro system is being done. Due to this traffic can be reduced on the roads of Mumbai.
Mumbai Metro Map with Stations
The responsibility of the entire project is with MMRDA & Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation. Who is looking after the work of All Lines (Except Lines 3) & Line 3 respectively.
This entire metro network is being built in 3 phases over a period of more than 15 years. And according to an estimate, this entire metro network will be completed by October 2026.
After the completion of the entire project, the high-capacity metro railway system in Mumbai will have 14 lines and one metro line. Due to this it will become the country’s largest network 356.97KM long with 286 stations.
Operational Lines
As of now only Blue Line 1, Yellow Line 2A, and Red Line 7 are operational, which is 30.65 KM long with 31 Total Stations. Blue Line 1 connects Versova in the Western Suburbs to Ghatkopar in the Central Suburbs. Yellow Line 2A and Red Line 7 connect Dahisar (East) to Dahanukarwadi & Dahisar (East) to Aarey Road Junction Respectively. It is fully elevated. Its construction started on 8 February 2008. By 8 June 2014, it was completed and opened to the general public.

Mumbai Metro Timings
The first metro starts from Versova at 05:20 AM and Ghatkopar at 05:29 AM.
The last Metro from Versova will leave at 11:20 PM & Ghatkopar at 11:46 PM.
Mumbai Metro Fares
At present, only Blue Line 1, Yellow Line 2A, and Red Line are operational. Whose Fares are given below-
For Single Journey (one-way) – The minimum is ₹10 and the maximum is ₹40.
For Return Journey (two way) – The minimum fare is ₹20 and the maximum is ₹75
