Tourist Attraction
Lakshman Jhula, which connects one bank to the other on the banks of the river Ganges, is a unique identity of Rishikesh. It was built in Vikram Samvat 1996. It is said that Lakshman ji built a swing at the place to cross the river Ganges.
Triveni Ghat is another important place of Rishikesh. Where devotees come to this ghat to take bath in the morning and take a dip in the Ganges river. It is said that the confluence of the major rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswati takes place at this place.
Swarg Ashram, the oldest ashram in Rishikesh, was founded by Swami Vishuddhanand. Swamiji was also known by the name “Kali Kamali Wale”. There are many beautiful temples built in this place. And there are many retroes at this place where tourists can eat.
