Dnyaneshwari Granth has been written in the Marathi language by the famous poet of Maharashtra, Sant Dnyaneshwar Ji in 1290 CE.

it is the first composition written on Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, in which the entire meaning of the Gita has been told. In this book, 700 verses of the Gita have been translated into the Marathi language which made it very interesting.

there is no special difference between this and the Gita. But the difference is that this book is not the Pratipada commentary of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.

Because Dnyaneshwari is a translation of the Bhagavad Gita. and it was made to get the meaning of The Gita. that’s the reason it has about 9,000 verses.

Each of its 9,000 verses consists of four lines called an ovi. it includes all Chapters of the Bhagavad Gita. which means every chapter is well translated. and it gives a complete sense.

Dnyaneshwari tells about the teachings given by Shri Krishna to Arjuna. When the war starts between Kauravas and Pandavas.

So just before the battle, Arjuna gives up his weapons. Seeing this, Shri Krishna gives them the teachings of the Gita. Apart from this, the lectures of all the characters are shown about what they said.

The verses are well organized. Which makes this creation even more special.
