The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services Examination 2023, paving the way for a new cadre of administrative leaders to serve the nation. The examination, conducted in September 2023, followed by personality tests held between January and April 2024, saw a total of 1016 candidates recommended for appointment across various services.
Here’s the breakdown of recommended candidates:
- Indian Administrative Service: 180 candidates
- Indian Foreign Service: 37 candidates
- Indian Police Service: 200 candidates
- Central Services Group ‘A’: 613 candidates
- Group ‘B’ Services: 113 candidates
Additionally, a consolidated Reserve List comprising 240 candidates has been maintained to fill vacancies as per rules. The appointments will be made based on available vacancies and in accordance with the Civil Services Examination Rules 2023.
Among the successful candidates are notable achievers like Aditya Srivastava, Animesh Pradhan, and Donuru Ananya Reddy, among others, who have demonstrated exceptional merit and commitment to public service.
