The Government of India started the Agneepath scheme by making some changes in the recruitment process of the Indian Army, Air Force & Navy. Whoever joins the army under this Agneepath scheme will be known as Agniveer. Each Agniveer in all the three forces will be able to serve for a maximum of 4 years and after 4 years, 25% of the jawans will be recruited permanently for a period of 15 years.

Indian Airforce Agnipath Agniveer Scheme Eligibility
If you want to become an Indian Airforce Agniveer then you have to fulfil some criteria. Which is given below-
Science Subject Eligibility Details :
You should be 10+2 intermediate passed with Maths, Physics & English Subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
3 Year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) with Minimum 50% Marks in aggravate and 50% Marks in English. OR
2 Year Vocational Course with Non Vocational Subject Physics and Maths from Any Recognized Board with 50% Marks Aggregate and 50% Marks in English.
Other Than Science Subject Eligibility :
10+2 Intermediate with Minimum 50% Marks Aggregate and 50% Marks in English. OR
2 Year Vocational Course with Minimum 50% Aggregate and 50% Marks in English.
Agniveer Vayu Medical Standard :
- Height Minimum : 152.5 CMS
- Chest Expansion : 5 CMS
Age Limit
- Minimum Age :- 17.5 Years
- Maximum Age :- 21 Years
- Age Between :- 27 June 2002 to 27 December 2005
Salary & Perks
After completing 4 years of service, Agniveer will be given ₹ 10.04 lakh as Seva Nidhi Package. In which ₹ 5.02 lakh is included from Agniveer’s salary and ₹ 5.02 lakh from GOI.
Apart from this, you will be provided annual leave of 30 days per year. Apart from this, sick leave will also be provided.
Life insurance cover, Medical and CSD Facilities and Compensation for Death will be provided.
