Introduction of Sociology

Sociology is the study of human social relationships and institutions. this subject matter is diverse, ranging from crime to religion, from the family to the state, from the divisions of race and social class to the shared beliefs of a common culture, and from social stability to radical change in whole societies.

Sociology is the systematic and scientific study of human behavior, social groups, and society. Sociology is a discipline that examines how humans interact with each other and how human behavior, values, & norms is shaped by structural and institutional forces and looks at how we help create those social structures and institutions. Ancient peoples tried to figure out how social life works.

They asked questions about why war exists, why some people become more powerful than others, and why some are rich but others are poor. However, they often based their answers on superstition, myth, or even the positions of the stars, (tradition) and they did not test their assumptions.

Sociology does not claim to be a potentially all-inclusive and all-sufficient science of society, which may absorb any of the specialized social sciences. The main focus of sociology is on human instruction and mutual influencing of each other’s feelings and attitudes. Sociology does not focus on what is happening inside people, but on what happens between people.
