Manoj Kumar Sharma, a resident of Morena, Madhya Pradesh, was an average student from the beginning, due to which he got third division in 10th. After this he could not pass the 12th examination. He had failed in all subjects except Hindi. And after failing in 12th, he also worked with his brother to drive an auto.

One day when he was driving an auto with his brother, the police caught his auto. Then he thought that he would talk to the SDM and get his auto released. And then he decided to go to the SDM but could not say the matter of getting the auto released in front of the SDM. But he definitely asked the SDM how preparations are made to become an SDM and then he made up his mind that now he will go to this service.

When Manoj was in 12th standard, he fell in love with a girl, but then he could not express his love because he was afraid that his one sided love might end. But in the end he proposed to the girl and said that if you say yes then I will turn the whole world around. And during UPSC preparation it was Shraddha who gave full support to Manoj. And later Manoj and Shraddha got married. At present, his wife Shraddha is also an officer in the Indian Revenue Service.
